Advanced tips for Searching Google's search engine

link:URL	link:www.abcsite.com or link:http://abcsite.com	Pages that link to a URL. Google only displays a portion of the links it hasin its database
info:URL	info:www.abcsite.com	Google will display various details they have about the site.
related:URL	related:www.abcsite.com	Web pages that are deemed "similar". Which sites have similar backliks as theURL entered.
~keyword ~phrase or ~ keyword phrase	~top ~widgets or ~ top widgets	Results will include the keyword phrase and synonyms of the keywords highlighted.

Query modifiers

Google offers a large set of "Query modifiers" that restrict the results of your query.

site:domain	site:abcsite.com	All pages of the domain and it's subdomains.
	blue widgits site:www.abcsite.com	Pages with the keyword phrase on the site specified.
keyword phrase site:URL extension	blue widgits site:.gov	Pages with the keyword phrase on sites with the specified extension.
url:URL	url:www.abcsite.com/sitemap.htm	A specific page.
inurl:keyword phrase	inurl:blue widgits	A specific word as part of a URL.
intitle:keyword phrase	intitle:blue widgits	A specific word as part of the indexed titles.
intext:keyword phrase	intext:blue widgits	Pages that have the search text on the page -ignoring all other factors other than the text begin on the page.
keywordphrase2 inanchor:keywordphrase2	manufacturing inanchor:blue widgits	Pages where the search term has links with the specified anchor text
allinurl:keyword phrase	allinurl:blue widgits	Sites where the words of the 'keyword phrase' appear anywhere in the url.
allintext:keyword phrase	allintext: blue widgits	Pages where the words of the 'keyword phrase' occur in the text of the page.
allintitle:keyword phrase	allintitle:blue widgits	Pages where all the words of the 'keyword phrase' occur in the title of the page.
allinlinks:keyword phrase	allinlinks:blue widgits	Links where all the words of the 'keyword phrase occur.
allinanchor:keyword phrase	allinanchor:blue widgits	Pages where all the text of the 'keyword phrase' occur in the link text of links to a site.The example will give a list of the pages that have links with the text blue widgits pointing to it.
keyword phrase filetype:file extension	blue widgits filetype:doc	Files with a particular extension.

define: word	define: widgit	Displays definitions for the word or phrase entered.BTW, Google doesn't know what a widgit is.
stocks: SYMBOL	stocks: MSFT GOOG	Will link you to a page displaying stock info for the symbols specified.
phonebook:name location	phonebook:Smith San Diego, CA	Will list matches for the name and location specified with links to map software.
rphonebook:name location	rphonebook:Smith San Diego, CA	Will list matches from residential phone book for the name and location specified.
